"Both of my parents were born and raised in Sicily and came to the United States when they were teenagers. My siblings and I are the first generations born in the US and growing up, we used to spend about four weeks each summer in Sicily with our family. Our time was split between Castellammare Del Golfo (my mom’s town) and Porto Empedocle (my dad’s town). For me, food is all about family and tradition. In fact, I always look forward to big dinners, which is usually a battle of whose recipe is better, moms or dads! The best part for me is the memories we create in the kitchen that would last a lifetime!
